Year 6 to 7 secondary admission round for September 2027
The new secondary school admission round is now open for parents and carers of current Year 6 children to apply for a secondary school (Year 7) place for September 2027.
The statutory national closing date for applications is 31 October 2026. Applications can be made online via www.essex.gov.uk/admissions.

Primary School Admissions (for Reception September 2027)
Applications for a primary (reception) school place starting September 2027 can be made between 9 November 2026 and 15 January 2027.
Applications received after this time will be considered a late application and will be processed in our additional rounds of allocation.

Offers will be sent to online applicants by email on 16 April 2027.
From 16 April 2027, if you applied online, you can log into your account to see your allocation.

If your application for Upshire Primary Foundation School has been successful, parents should contact the school office to finalise arrangements for their child to start.
If your child attends Fledglings Pre-school this does not mean that you will get an automatic place at Upshire Primary Foundation School, you must still apply to Essex Admissions and complete the online application form.
After your school offer
If your child is not offered a place at your preferred school, you can appeal against the decision.
You will receive a letter with the appeal hearing date within 30 school days for mid-year appeals and 40 school days for normal admission round appeals.

In-Year Admissions
As of 1st April 2022, Upshire Primary Foundation school will be dealing with all In-Year Applications.
Parents/carers must now apply directly to the school. Please contact the school office on 01992 715567 if you have any queries.
