ACTS OF KINDNESS . . .
As many of you know I am not a great fan of social media, however . . . during times when we are unable to visit family and friends (and providing we are thinking about the consequences of our words - cyber safety lessons Upshire!) we are so lucky to have this technology. I was sent the attached post via a parent, who was bursting with pride. Her children (who are in Year 2 and 6) had seen an ambulance pull up in their court and decided to leave a bar of chocolate, with a note on the windscreen. They waited patiently and when the paramedics returned to the ambulance they called out their thanks for the TERRIFIC job they are doing. Another parent told me how her daughter (in Year 1) had wanted to draw pictures to send to one of the residential homes for the elderly 'to cheer them up'! I have enjoyed looking at the photographs you have sent in showing your rainbows displayed in your windows. I am so proud of our Upshire Primary children - your TERRIFIC acts of kindness will brighten up everyone's day!
