Upshire Primary Foundation School Inspire*Excite*Achieve


In celebration of the school being 80 years old this year, we will be taking part in various events.  

Friday 7th June

  • Dressing up day for staff and children - era costumes to wear today and for the dance events at the weekend
  • Picnic on the field (weather permitting)
  • 2pm parents and carers to attend an exhibition in the hall of the children's work from the 1930s to 2010s and school memorabilia from the past
  • 3.30pm to 6.30pm exhibition open to ex-pupils, ex-staff and members of Upshire Community

Saturday 8th June: Children dancing and community event at Upshire Hall

  • 2pm          YEAR 3           (Era 1960s costume)
  • 2.30pm     YEAR 4           (Era 1950s costume)
  • 3pm          YEAR 5           (Era 1940s costume)
  • 3.30pm     YEAR 6           (Era 1930s costume)

Sunday 9th June: Children dancing and community event at Upshire Hall

  • 1pm          PRE-SCHOOL  (Era 2010s costume)
  • 1.30pm     RECEPTION     (Era 2000s costume)
  • 2pm          YEAR 1H         (Era 1990s costume)
  • 2.30pm     YEAR 1L          (Era 1980s costume)
  • 3pm          YEAR 2            (Era 1970s costume)

Children need to be at Upshire Hall 20 minutes before their start time


We have professional dance teachers in school working with the children each week - each class is dancing to music of the era they are studying; it would be great if all the children and parents are able to attend. surprise
