Very proud of our school councillors and ambassadors today, the feedback from parents and visitors about your enthusiasm, manners and knowledge when showing them around our exhibition was TERRIFIC!
At Upshire our children have an important role to play in issues that affect the children themselves. A School Council is one way of ensuring that the voice of the children is heard, has an impact on the development of the school and makes them feel part of the school and the wider community.
Two representatives from Year 3 to Year 6 are elected by their peers and they represent the views and ideas of all our pupils.
The School Council meets with the Deputy Headteacher, members of the Governing Body and the PTA.
Our School Council Governor is Mr Simon Fletcher.

We enjoyed representing our classes on the School Council. Last year we had a huge impact at lunchtimes. We changed the lunchtime provision so that we have more space, more equipment, more activities and lots of fun. We also selected the apparatus for our new Adventure Trail, which was installed in the Summer Term.
