Upshire Primary Foundation School Inspire*Excite*Achieve

Welcome to the Upshire Primary Foundation School.  Thank you for showing an interest in our school and viewing our website.

There has been a school at Upshire since 1874. It was then housed in a building on the Warlies Estate. The present school has been on this site since 1939. The buildings have been extended and altered a lot during this time. A major refurbishment was carried out during 1989/90 with redecoration and upgrading of many facilities.

The school covers The Foundation Stage, Key Stage One and Key Stage Two, that is from ages 4 to 11. We currently have 233 children on roll.

At Upshire we find ways to teach a creative curriculum that excites children and promotes a thirst for learning.

Visitors tell us that we are a friendly and welcoming school. This website aims to give you a taster of the school, as well as providing up to date information for parents, pupils and the wider community. We hope you enjoy your visit to our website and that you find the information that you are looking for. Please feel free to contact the school directly (you will find our details on the contact page) with any queries you may have.

What do parents say about our school . . .

Being a parent you always feel like there is never enough time. Being a parent you feel like you make important decisions every day and sometimes wonder whether you made the right one. One decision I am very proud of is the school I send my children to. Education is going to springboard them into adulthood and prepare them for the long journey ahead. The style of teaching, patience, understanding and professionalism is not only outstanding but respected. Thank you for making me never doubt this decision. The challenges you give them. The knowledge you provide. The support you offer. I know when I drop them at school and walk away they are well cared for. I am confident that for the time that it’s you instead of me, and that’s great! I’ll see you and them at 3.10pm.
